Its being reported by TV By The Numbers that “Ringer” is likely to be renewed for a second season by the CW!
|
|
Ringer fans will have to wait a little longer before fresh episodes resume in the new year. Why? The CW is double-pumping its new reality series, Remodeled (premiering Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 9/8c), by slotting multiple original and repeat installments during its first two weeks on the air. As a result, Ringer will now resume with new episodes three weeks behind schedule on Jan. 31. Additionally, 90210‘s return has been pushed back a week to Jan. 17. The good news: The delay means that Ringer will run nearly repeat-free through May. Remodeled is a docu-series which follows modeling industry vet Paul Fisher on his quest to unite smaller agencies into one supersized unit, to be called The Network. |

The CW has issued a full-season order to Ringer. Sarah Michelle Gellar’s increasingly addictive comeback vehicle got off to a solid start in the ratings last month, but the serial thriller started shedding viewers with each passing week. The downward trend reversed itself this week when the show saw increases of 33 percent in adults 18-49 and 15 percent in total viewers (to 1.7 million). This is the first freshman series The CW has given a full-season order to. The jury is still out on fellow rookies Secret Circle and Hart of Dixie. (H8R was axed last week.) For those keeping track at home, Ringer joins Fox’s New Girl, NBC’s Up All Night and Whitney, and CBS’ 2 Broke Girls in this fall’s full-season club. |

Eva LaRue and Sarah Michelle Gellar reunited with some of their former co-stars on the set of “All My Children” earlier today. The two beautiful women taped their scenes scheduled to air on Wednesday, September 21. Continue to read to find out who Gellar will be playing. Soap Opera Network also investigated to find out if this episode is it for LaRue. With scripts reportedly being manipulated due to “AMC” receiving a new lease on life on the internet, it appears to be impacting more than one return to the program. As we reported earlier this week, Julia Barr’s return was cut short. LaRue’s spokesperson tells SON that her appearance with Gellar will indeed be her next and final appearance on the soap on ABC. The actress who last appeared on the soap briefly in July for two episodes was originally slated to air in three more episodes before “AMC” ended its run on ABC on Friday, September 23. On her official Twitter feed, LaRue describes the scenes with Gellar that she affectionately refers to as cheesy. Paying homage to Gellar’s run on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and possibly to ”AMC’s” current bizarre umbrella story that has several character returning from certain death thanks to a miracle drug regime, Sarah will be playing Dr. Maria Santos psychiatric patient. Dr. Santos’ patient insists she’s surrounded by … vampires! |

Soap Opera Digest can report exclusively that yes, Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex-Kendall) will appear on ALL MY CHILDREN before its September 23 broadcast finale. “I have no idea what I’m doing or who I’m playing,” she says. “I told them I don’t want to be Kendall; that’s Alicia’s [Minshew] role now. She has made that beyond her own. She’s amazing. I just wanted to be a part of it. I said I would be a patron in a bar, I don’t care. I can come down from the attic with Bobby Martin; I can be his ski bunny wife.” The actress is currently filming RINGER for The CW, in which she stars as twins. There’s an AMC connection there, too — Justin Bruening (Jamie), who is also returning to AMC, is taping RINGER with Gellar now. “He’s great,” she says. “I think the day I’m doing [AMC], Justin will be there, too.” For more from the actress, see an upcoming issue of Digest. |

For only the second time in her career as a geek goddess, Sarah Michelle Gellar is going to Comic-Con. Gellar will star on The CW’s panel for her return to TV in the fall show Ringer. (For those who haven’t seen it yet, here’s the trailer.) She’ll take the stage along with co-stars Nestor Carbonell, Ioan Gruffudd, Kristoffer Polaha, and the show’s creative team. The panel will also give away a three-night stay in a luxurious hotel suite adjacent to Comic-Con (what every fan secretly wants — not posters or T-shirts, but the coveted hotel room upgrade). The last time she was at the San Diego fan convention it was for her 2004 horror movie The Grudge. (Nope, not Buffy the Vampire Slayer.) |
